It should work with Rock Band 2 if you have the Guitar Hero Les Paul controller. As Tempest pointed out it is not compatible with Rock Band 1.

It won’t work at all. You can’t use a Guitar Hero guitar on Rock Band because they are made by two different companies. There is only one version of Rock Band. The Special Edition only earnings that it comes with instruments in the box.
